Robe Roberson
Head Coach 14's
Coming from the world of basketball, Robe’s volleyball coaching resume is a work in progress. But when it comes to life, Robe is a 20-year educator / life coach who just happens to teach volleyball. He is a parent of athletes, and a socially conscious human being who understands the nuances of today’s athlete and the sports psychology required to truly maximize growth and performance.
Robe founded CITY Volleyball with a few fellow visionaries dreaming of sport to be about a higher purpose for their children and others. Robe currently serves as the boy’s and girls’ varsity volleyball coach at Campbell Hall School and has won CIF championships with the legendary tennis and basketball team. He’s had championship stints as the head varsity girl’s coach at Eisenhower High School and University Prep School in Washington; spent time as an assistant coach at Concordia University in Portland, and worked at collegiate camps with coaching mentors at Washington, Oregon, Idaho and internationally with the national team of Grenada, travel camps in Italy, and clinician work in Vancouver BC.
Robe also spent multiple seasons coaching club volleyball in and around the Seattle and northwest areas. Robe was a successful figure in the Puget Sound Region: He was the founder of Team Tenacity Volleyball Club, logged several stellar seasons with Team Yakima Volleyball Club and Island Thunder Volleyball Club, where he coached 15’s-16’s and competed with several squads in the Junior National’s Open Division. Robe most recently co-directed Sunshine North, coaching the bid-seeking 16s, and winning gold in the 2019 Denver qualifier with the 13s and bronze in the 2019 Reno qualifier.

When not coaching, Robe is busy thinking of the next non-profit to create, drawing up plans to make his backyard a Palm Springs-like mid-century getaway, frequenting local sporting events, and traveling to beachy hideouts he finds in travel magazines. Someday he wants to be a DJ ninja in Croatia.
